VIPER Transfer Application for First Year Penn Students Now Open!

The Vagelos Integrated Program in Energy Research (VIPER) is a coordinated dual-degree program at Penn that prepares talented undergraduate students to advance sustainable energy science and technology and become the next generation of energy leaders. VIPER graduates gain an interdisciplinary perspective as they earn both a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science. VIPER students receive guidance on how to get started in research and communicate science effectively, conduct fully-funded research with renowned Penn faculty throughout their time in college, and join a collaborative network of energy leaders. VIPER is now accepting applications from first-year Penn students interested in transferring into the program. For more information, click this link.

There are two priority deadlines for application to the VIPER program. We encourage students who are strongly considering VIPER to submit October 23, 2022 so that we can meet new transfers during Advance Registration. Applications will be accepted as space allows until January 4, 2023.

Additionally, prospective students are invited to join VIPER’s virtual information session on October 6. Click here for details.
